Human Hair Wig

Why are some human hair wigs so heavy?

A Great Human Hair Wig Should Not Feel Like a Human Hair Helmet

A great way to save money in the manufacturing process of human hair wigs is to mass produce machine made foundations and to sew the hair into the foundation using a machine. It’s an automated way to create a human wig, but it's certainly not the best.

The process of creating a machine made human wig requires a foundation that must be heavier to withstand the machine manufacturing process. Synthetic materials like non breathing nylon are most likely to be used for the foundation. The human hair is first machine sewn onto wefts which are then machine sewn into the cap or foundation.

With this process you end up with a very heavy and very hot wig compared to a hand made masterpiece human hair wig. The synthetic foundation may feel like your wearing a rubber bathing cap every day…sweaty and uncomfortable. Only a hand stitched wig can be light as a feather, yet super strong at the same time.

At Claire / Accuhair, we won’t sell a machine made wig because we want you to love your wig and feel great wearing it too. We create our human hair wigs lovingly, sewing in each strand of hair by hand, stitch by stitch into a natural lightweight yet strong base. You get a strong lightweight wig that breathes naturally and is a delight to wear.
